LA Metro LRV Stop Signal Overrun Analysis

To reduce the frequency and consequence of Stop Signal Overrun (SSO) events, which occur when a train violates a red interlocking signal in street running mode, LA Metro tasked Tenco with determining the appropriate mitigation technology to prevent SSO violations. Tenco investigated likely technologies and conducted a feasibility analysis and an operations impact analysis to provide a recommendation.
