MBTA Red and Orange Line Vehicle Propulsion, APS and VMS subsytems

The oldest subway system in the United States is procuring new railcars, for which Mitsubishi Electric Company provided AC propulsion, APS and VMS subsystems. Tenco is performing the complete electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) program, including test planning, design analysis, field testing, and results reporting. Tenco performed all system-level reliability, maintainability, safety and EMC documentation tasks. Tenco also established railcar EMI emission limits to protect existing MBTA track circuits.
