Sacramento Regional Transit EMI Problem with Quad Crossing Gates

After commissioning a new line, Sacramento Regional Transit encountered problems with the LRVs interfering with traffic detection loops at crossing gates and Train-to-Wayside Communications (TWC). As the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer for the project, Tenco investigated, found the root cause, and proposed a cost-effective design solution to resolve the EMI problem.
